RIP Privacy

Privacy is dead, and social media holds the smoking gun.
In the past decade, social media has crept from the computer screens onto the screens of our handheld devices. With the flick of a finger we can upload photos directly from our phones onto our social media accounts, reply instantly to messages or see what our families and friends have been up to. With our mobiles always within our arm's reach, it can be super easy to become a little too enamoured with social media and it can negative effect our relationships with others. So here are some tips on how to gain control of your social media addiction.
1. TURN OFF YOUR NOTIFICATIONS- when you stop notifications from disturbing your normal routine, you might find it easier to concentrate on your daily tasks and not get distracted so easily. Notifications are a constant reminder that something is happening in the online world and you might feel like you are missing out. So turn off your notifications and the bonus is that when you do come around to checking your social media you may have a build up of more notifications which will make it more exciting and will make the experience more rewarding.
2. LIMIT YOURSELF- set a timer on your watch or phone to limit the amount of time you spend on social media. Choose a limit and when you reach your limit be strong and do not be tempted to add on extra time. This will be a strong test of your willpower but it will be worth it in the end.
3. SPEND MORE TIME WITH YOUR LOVED ONES - instead of keeping up to date with your friends and family members' lives through a screen, spend time with them in the real world and you reconnect with them, make new memories and keep them personal to you- you do not need to document everything you do in life with selfies.
Lastly concluding I would like to say that the world is literally your oyster so do not get trapped in a virtual world. Get out, but from behind your screen and enjoy life's pleasures!

Social media: is it still reliable?

We don't have a choice on whether we do social media,
The question is how well we do it.
In today's world, people have access to abundance of information at their fingertips. The internet particularly social media, makes finding and sharing news easier and faster than ever. Social media is any website that allows social interaction and it is growing rapidly throughout the world. Using social media can have a positive impact on young adults' lives by helping them be more empathetic. Despite the positives, there are many negatives associated with social media. It can make a person more vulnerable to predators and cyber bullying. The outcomes include depression, anxiety, severe isolation and tragically even suicide. Using social media can also decrease privacy for an individual. People often give out their personal information on social media not knowing who can see it. Further, same applies with news, who knows whether it is fake or the truth.
As a consumer we have to take extra precautions to know whether or not the social site we use is reliable and truthful. Everyone should understand that the use of social media is to impact people not impress people as for now every action not just has an equal and opposite reaction but also a social media over-reaction.

Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji ke liye
